2016年度「出色僱主 」比賽正在進行!

2016年度「出色僱主 」比賽 「出色僱主 」比賽由家傭·同行、跨界別藝術家Devora Neumark,及藝術家陳燕芬携手協辦。是次比賽爲大型展覽How to Make Space的其中一部分,展覽由APEXART贊助,並由Rear View(項目)策劃。這次比賽的目的如下: 鼓勵並肯定能夠尊重和重視外傭的僱主 向公眾展示僱主與外傭保持互惠互利關係,融洽共處的方法 在傳媒和公衆議題中,注入有關僱主與外傭的正面故事 今年乃首屆「出色僱主」比賽,家·傭同行希望於以後繼續舉辦,並可以擴大規模。我們誠邀有意的團體合作協辦,詳情請聯絡 contact@opendoor.hk。 報名方法 報名資格:已受僱於同一僱主五年或以上的在港外傭 (爲 了避免付長期服務金,不少僱主在僱用外傭四年後,即使工作表現滿意,亦會終止合約。香港勞工法例規定,所有僱主若僱用員工五年或以上,必須支付長期服務 金。我們希望通過是次比賽,鼓勵願意長期僱用同一外傭的僱主,肯定他們的智慧與承擔,表現他們對外傭權益的尊重,和重視外傭爲家庭帶來的價值。) 報名方法:要提名僱主成爲「出色僱主」,合資格的外傭可以填寫以下表格,與我們分享他們覺得僱主哪個方面是出色的!

到中環當義工的見聞

聽聞在中環找廁所並沒有想像中容易。部分恆常在中環享受假日的外傭曾分享,在中環,她們並不能隨意使用所有廁所,部分商場內的保安員更會拒絕她們。雖然我並沒有認真測試過使用所有中環的廁所的可能性,作為男性,在找廁所方面應與女士的經歷有所不同。但以下是我的一些見聞。

中環的另一風貌 與 空間共融

中環,一個聚集了銀行總行、商業大廈、各地領事館等重要建築物的地方,亦是本港的金融政治中心和交通樞紐。銀光閃閃的大廈高聳入雲,名牌商店琳瑯滿目。工作於這區的都是西裝筆挺的白領,走在此地連身份地位也好像霎時高人一等。這個是普遍香港人對中環的印象,也是大部份時間的中環給人的印象。然而,每到星期天,都有一大群人對中環有著完全不同的詮釋。

進入這個不分你我的圈子

合理期望

在另一個星期天,我參與了由家‧傭同行、移民工牧民中心合辦的走進外傭群體活動,由家傭帶著我們一起遊走了星期日的中環。一班香港青年人和外傭圍在一起,有一起互相了解認識的機會。有一位參與者問外傭她們最為重視的是什麼?在討論中,她們得出的結論第一要緊的是被尊重,第二是私隱,合理的工作量是相對頗次要的期望。可見這一班外傭表示她們是願意努力工作的。
